New England Days 3 & 4
Days 3 and 4 were amazing. The weather continued to be perfect. The islands of Lake Champlain were outstanding, lots of farms on the waterfront, perfect for riding. We all agreed to try an return to that area in the future. At one point we were only 1 mile from the Canadian border and 50 miles from Montreal.
We stayed at a great bed and breakfast at Point Au Roche. In the morning got started with a great breakfast and headed to Fort Ticonderoga. We took photos of plaques with Jehovah’s name from the fort. Very interesting history and great views from the fort.
Next on to Vermont, lots of curvy farm roads, bike heaven. Made it to Massachusetts for the night. Headed to Shelburne falls in the morning, walked the flower bridge and checked out the glacial potholes and falls.
More country roads and into Connecticut. Had lunch at a great greasy spoon. Made the 3pm ferry. No mechanical problems… Lots of great miles….!

We totally enjoyed the riding, the sights and the company on this trip. We hope we can all get together again for more good times!
