The road back to Malaga

We left our hotel in Algeciras early to get in a full day of riding. The boys mapped out back country roads all the way back to Malaga. Our first destination was Ronda. It was a crazy curvy ride with amazing vistas. Ronda was quite the little gem. A famous place for bull fights. The impressive bridge was built in the 18th century.

What’s a Spanish city without a meat store and a cobble stone street lined with shops

Our next destination was Setenil. A white city carved from volcanic rock. It was built this way to hide from the enemy

We headed to our hotel in Malaga to drop off our bikes, and walk to the historic area for a quick bite to eat. After another lovely sidewalk cafe dining experience we where back at the hotel to see Adam and Denise off. They had to return their bike and catch a train to bethel to stay for the night and then catch a fight back to Moldova Sunday morning. We said our “see ya soons” in the parking garage. Always hard to say good-bye, but with a wave and twist of the throttle they were gone……What happens in Spain, stays in Spain!

Now it was our turn, we quickly scurried our motorcycle boxes to our room. Emptied everything onto the bed, and put the boxes back on the bikes. We had about a 30 minute ride to return our bikes and get a taxi back to the hotel. What a beautiful ride it was! Parts of it so close to the sea only a chain link fence stand in the way. It was surely a great ending to a great trip!!

Well, I don’t know for sure, but Ronda and Sentenil looked like it would have been my favorite spot, next to Morocco. Very unique and different, and quite beautiful. Boy, must be nice to have no kids! lol Just for the record, I wouldn’t trade them for the WORLD!! Spoken like a true MOM!
