Mazatlan to Tequila to Guanajuato

We have covered alot of terrain as you can see in our spot track. The driving is spectacular. Mountains, Deserts, Forest even an old lava flow. WE really liked Mazatlan beach front campin on the Pacific, very cosmopolitan city.

Tequila is a fairly typical Mexican city very busy, not super clean. We found a small hotel with a courtyard in the rear. We slept in the courtyard in our trucks and used one hotel room for some quality showers and the toilet..! There are agave plantations all over the area with which Tequila is made. Lots of distilleries to visit etc.. We skipped those and had a shot of local Tequila. Very nice smooth stuff.

Now we are in Guanajuato. This is the most interesting place we have ever been. Its an immaculately clean and safe colonial city built from 1600-1800′s. There is a city under the city. So tons of tunnels and alleys. Very senic, architechture over the top, photo ops every five feet. I would highly recommend a visit to this city. Wish we could stay for a week or two. Stacey is shopping while im in a starbucks writing this blog.

We are having a great time, this is an amazing way to see countries, so far the people of Mexico have been very helpful. Thanks for all of your comments. Hope everyone is well.
