Gibraltar
Thursday morning Adam had to pick up their motorcycle, so he and James “both” saddled up on James bike and rode an hour 2up to get it, then an hour back. We quickly loaded up and hit the pavement. Denise DOES NOT riding on the highways! I should probably say DID not, the scenery quickly changed her mind, although the stiff crosswinds will make anyone think twice. There were many twists, turns and roundabouts, then around the next curve, there it was…. The Rock of Gibraltar!
(lefthand corner of windshield)

We pulled off the highway to get some pictures
We managed to navigate through the crowed streets to where the base of the rockmmet the sea. We had a seafood stew at a cute oceanfront cafe.
The rock is quite impressive. Like a building. Its white appearance is like that of an iceberg.
We decided to head to a hotel for the night in Algeciras. Tomorrow we are going to MOROCCO! We got a great hotel with a view of the port and the Rock of Gibraltar. We walked around the incredibly dirty streets for a while looking for a place to eat. Algeciras is a huge port city, cargo ships coming and going. Not a place we recommend visiting. The man at the hotel recommended a restaurant, but we couldn’t find it. That’s cause it wasn’t open for dinner until 8:30 like every other restaurant in Spain! We found a VERY local bar and had tapas and beer, it actually ended up to be quite good. As long as James gets ham, it’s all good.
